The Birth of the Profession of Clinical Research Associate

According to the ICH Good Clinical Practice Guidelines, clinical research should be monitored by professionals—Clinical Research Associates, also known as Clinical Monitors. We asked Bruce Kriger, CEO of Kriger Research Group International www.kriger.com , leading training institution and clinical research organization, to tell us more about profession of CRA. Bruce Kriger told us, that the qualifications for this profession are simple: the individual should possess at least a bachelor’s degree in life sciences or a related discipline, and should have a solid knowledge of good clinical practice.

If you have such a degree, you can become a Knight of the Realm of Clinical Trials. We will assist you in acquiring an in-depth knowledge of good clinical practice, and will advise you on gaining relevant clinical research experience through industry internships, which will qualify you as a skilled clinical research professional, able to assist the pharmaceutical industry bringing forth new life-saving products.
